The History of Benton City

Since the town was officially incorporated in July 1945, the town of Benton City has remained a well-known and much-beloved city. Because of the communities close proximity to the non-incorporated city of Kiona, the two are often mistaken as one. In a number of cases the two fall into the same districts as is the case with their educational system.

The city of Benton City is a small town, with a population of slightly over 3000 people. Located in the heart of Benton County, the city is home to a number of well-known and tourist-attracting events, including, a number of antique car shows, and Benton City’s annual Winterfest. In addition to the numerous events that Benton City plays host to every day, it is also home to a number of popular and well-known landmarks, including, Kendall Barn, and Brown’s Rock.

The real estate market in Benton City is currently experiencing a boom. Because Benton City, like several others in the Tri-Cities area, cater greatly to the wine industry, the increase in viticulture and winery jobs that have developed in Benton City have created a demand for real estate in this small city. The Benton City School District
