The History of Benton City

Since the town was officially incorporated in July 1945, the town of Benton City has remained a well-known and much-beloved city. Because of the communities close proximity to the non-incorporated city of Kiona, the two are often mistaken as one. In a number of cases the two fall into the same districts as is the case with their educational system.

The city of Benton City is a small town, with a population of slightly over 3000 people. Located in the heart of Benton County, the city is home to a number of well-known and tourist-attracting events, including, a number of antique car shows, and Benton City’s annual Winterfest. In addition to the numerous events that Benton City plays host to every day, it is also home to a number of popular and well-known landmarks, including, Kendall Barn, and Brown’s Rock.

The real estate market in Benton City is currently experiencing a boom. Because Benton City, like several others in the Tri-Cities area, cater greatly to the wine industry, the increase in viticulture and winery jobs that have developed in Benton City have created a demand for real estate in this small city. Both of these industries are very much reliant on the strength of the local wine industry, with much of the tourism involving visits to the local wineries.
